Why Artyssa

A beautiful object is not automatically the right gift.

India has no shortage of handmade objects. Yet gifting often begins with an occasion, a price range and a long catalogue — and ends with something that could have been chosen for almost anyone.

Where Artyssa began

Sangeeta and Saroj came from a world shaped by design and branding, where context changes how an object is understood. Artyssa began with the same belief applied to gifting: the product must be beautiful, but it must also fit the person, the relationship and the life it will enter.

The Artyssa role

The artisan creates the object. Artyssa’s role is to select carefully, explain honestly, present with restraint and make it easier for the giver to choose with confidence.

The collection

The first collection is intentionally focused. It begins with eight copper and brass objects and will expand into other forms of artisan work as Artyssa develops reliable relationships, product understanding and a clear reason for every addition.
